The Indiana Council of Community Mental Health Centers (Indiana Council) operates as a professional trade association dedicated to representing the interests of 24 community-based mental health providers throughout the state. Established in 1976, the Indiana Council is strategically headquartered in Indianapolis, close to the state capital. Operating as a 501 (C)(6) entity, the Indiana Council is governed by a board of directors comprising representatives from its diverse member agencies. Membership is exclusively reserved for organizations that are certified as a CMHC through the approval process managed by the Family and Social Services Agencies’ Division of Mental Health and Addiction.
